Concussions in Girls vs Boys
Study after study has determined that brain damage potential is greater in youth under 14 than those over 14.
The studies also found that girls under 13 are likely to suffer a concussion and those concussions are more severe than boys of the same age.
What this means, especially is:
In soccer, that ball “heading” should not be allowed under the age of 14,
Elbowing an opponent’s heads in basketball should produce ejections,
Football should teach and refereed under strictly enforced “head’s up” play rules, etc.
